minekey.com–Recommendations widget

Found the Minekey recommendations widget the other day while following some thread. These are my favorite finds. The ones that happen when I’m not actively looking for a widget. I call this “found in the wild“. It makes it all worthwhile.
What is Minekey?
Minekey.com is basically an RSS widget that provides some interesting tracking stats. Information that you otherwise wouldn’t have access to. Information comes in the form of reports that you log in at Minekey to view.
Reports include:
1. The date
2. Number of unique visitors
3. which articles are recommended
4. Which articles are clicked on
5. Article click through rates
They claim “Benefits” to using Minekey
1. Increased page views (I’ll report on this)
2. More return visits
3. Greater traffic (sounds like #1)
4. Higher revenue (widget is not affiliate nor do you earn anything by having this widget)
Minekey launched on April 17th 2007. Since then their blog has been totally silent.
Is this because they are insanely busy upgrading their servers to handle the large amounts of traffic? How would I know?
Minekey is in beta as of this post so there may still be bugs. I suggest giving it a try…you never know when something could surprise you!

Thanks for covering us on your blog. We would really appreciate if you can be a beta customer for this service and deploy the widget on your blog (perhaps on the sider bar and not just in 1 article …because it could eventually get buried when you add more posts on your blog). We would love to hear our feedback …
