Twitter Tag: A Simple Twitter Active Badge Generator

July 10th, 2008

image

Twitter Tag is a Active Badge Generator just like Tweetsnap. it may not have a site anywhere close as pretty as Tweetsnap and the badge may be more generic but it actually got more features into it.

  • 1.- You can Customize the colors in it to your heart content.
  • 2.- It detects the client used (for example mine shows i tweet from SocialThing or Twhirl
  • 3.- Uses Time Track Stamp instead of date tags
  • 4.- Shows how many updates you have done so far in Twitter

So the only bad thing i see to it is that it is too Generic Looking and that it don`t has versions. you can only choose one size.

Since it got Stats, it would be nice to have the full user stats in the badge like Updates//Friends//Followers in a better font and solve the look issues by allowing custom background or background options.

Like Tweetsnap you can grab the code and use your Twitter Tag Badge everywhere, from your blog, to social networks, to forums and even E-mails.

MyuStats blog stats widget badge

July 8th, 2008

MyuStats is a Blog Widget Badge that can  show all your most relevant stats for your blog while still remaining small or compact so you don`t use too much of your Sidebar Space.

My µStats, the simple and easiest way to show the Google, Yahoo, Technorati, Alexa, Feedburner and Delicious, incoming values and ranks of your site or blog.

My µStats is a small widget that you can embbed in your site, to show and track along the time (updated weekly) your most important incoming values. With no registration and no setup.

You can have to mode for it:

Normal

There is not much to say about it but at this place in time what is very outdated about the widget besides the 2005 design is the lack of customization for colors or a High Spread Sharing module so you  could install it effortlessly and it could generate more impulse use.

The idea is good i just wish it would offer a bar based chart instead of the graph since is too small and the black background don`t helps either.

Still recommended for those looking to show stats of their blogs without any effort.

Doll-Doll: Post Tamagotchi Blog Pet for Xanga and MySpace

July 8th, 2008

image

Doll-Doll is a widget that could easily be classified as a “thingy” or “trinket” for blogs. in this case a “Blog Pet” as they call it. they even used the word "Tamagotchi” themselves so the “post tamagotchi” tag for describing it is not all my doing.

The idea is simple for anyone that remembers not only tamagotchi but Neo Pets or more recently and also a good reference would be Go Pets. the only thing is unlike neopets this is not a animal but a “doll-doll”.  that means is a human like magical creature. a blog fairy if you will.

What you are supposed to do with it? well it can live in your blog. you can feed it. it can entertain your visitors and what not and even play a little tune.

This pic is a example of how a live Doll-Doll looks like and as stated it only got direct install support  for Xanga and MySpace users. but it “could” work for most if you grad the embed code and paste it on your own.

You can look at a like example here.

This Gadget is of course superior to the regular gamecard widget officially available and much more slicker too. but that is a given considering who made this Silverlight Gadget.

This Silverlight Gamecard Gadget can be easily generated and got nice interactive display in it. this is not a static badge, it updates as you play and log on your Xbox Live session so if you want a always updated Xbox Live Gamecard Widget. this is the one to go with.

Props to Adam as always. now, how about having your Silverlight Xbox Live Gadgets with matching versions, so they can be added to Live Spaces, Vista Sidebar or in a Blog?.

Tell me that is the next step Adam. We need you man!
