The ‘Add to MyRegistry’ Button

The Gift Registry Web Widget offers a simple & customizable html code that
automatically places the ‘Add to MyRegistry’ button on any product page
of your website right next to the existing ‘Add to Cart’ button. Customers
can continue to add items to their shopping cart and now they will also
have the option to add these items to their
universal gift registry with one easily click of a button.

The ‘Add Gift’ Panel

When your customers click on the ‘Add to MyRegistry’
button, a small panel will open up with that specific
product’s picture, title, and price. All your customers
have to do is add the desired color, size, and any
notes they would like to include.

There is no limit to how many items your customers
can add to their gift registry!

Valentines Day giftbox widget

February 6th, 2009

Here’s a simple Valentines Day embeddable widget that is supposed to allow you to customize a message for the people that will see it.

You can hover over the widget and the box will open to reveal some flowers and a chocolate heart that says “LOVE”. Clicking on the box will open up the ability to drag and drop letters onto a heart to spell a message. I wouldn’t spend too much time doing this though. It seems that the message disappears as soon as you click the little strawberry icon. For some reason, after clicking on the strawberry, you get to a third screen that shows you a picture of what I think is chocolate cake with strawberries on top and another strawberry icon. Bizarre!

This widget uses JavaScript and loads really fast. Clicking through the various aspects can be tricky and I’m not too sure about the reliability of it saving your message.

MyVGift.com Get FREE virtual gifts

November 18th, 2008

MyVGift.com is a new widget that allows the user to receive “Virtual” gifts from any visitor to their page.

How it works:
Anyone that wishes to leave you a gift can simply choose from the thousands (millions?) of items in the Amazon.com catalog.

The MyVGift.com site provides an easy to use Amazon search that gives you category and keyword options, helping to narrow down to that perfect gift. And best of all, you don’t have to leave MyVGift to search. It’s all done right on-site.

Once you find the gift you want to give, add it via the little icon on the far right and then customize it with a little note and your name (optional for Anonymous giving)

Each gift links to its respective Amazon.com page…in case you want to actually buy one.

The widget install:
Grabbing this widget and adding it to your blog or page is as simple as 1-2-3.
1. pick your style (Vertical or Horizontal)
2. pick your color (16 million colors I believe. With Hex option)
3. Either copy the code (to paste) or enter your login info for over 20 different social pages and blog platforms.

“The only virtual gift widget on the web that works on multiple social platforms:
Friendster, Facebook, Orkut, Bebo, Tagged, Blogger, Hi5, LiveSpaces, Piczo, Freewebs, LiveJournal, BlackPlanet, MyYearbook, Wordpress, Vox, TypePad, Xanza, Multiply, iGoogle, NetVibes, Pageflakes, MiGente, and others.”

Try it:
I’ve added the MyVGift widget to the sidebar. Feel free to give a “Virtual” gift to widgets lab. You’ll find it very easy to use. Heck…give two gifts! Christmas time is just around the corner.

Pyzam Christmas tree and gifts widget

December 12th, 2007

Pyzam has created a wildly popular Christmas widget

This widget is obviously Myspace friendly and very popular. So far, there have been over 850,000 of these widgets created.

Wow!

It’s a cool flash widget that allows you to display a Christmas tree and various gifts. There is a calendar style countdown to the big day. The calendar can be seen in the background and upon mouseover it comes forward for easy viewing. You will notice the days have been crossed out with a big red X.

Gifts
The really cool feature of this widget allows you to give people gifts. You have the option to pick a gift that has already been created (watch out here…the creators of porn have been busy) Or you can feel free to create your own gift to give someone.
Gifts basically consist of an image that you upload and a description that you compose for the image.

Good gift ideas can be album covers with band descriptions or even the nearly unattainable Nintendo Wii. Whatever you decide, the most important part to remember is to have fun!

You will need to register with Pyzam in order to enjoy all the features of this widget. The registration will also require your email so you can get notified when you receive new gifts.
