The upcoming Nexus smartphone announcement is always an exciting time for those of us who appreciate this line of hardware. High End devices with untainted Android, and which are first in line for system updates offer up the best bragging rights in the business. I currently have the GSM Galaxy Nexus, which was first in line to receive Android 4.1(Jelly Bean), will of course easily update to Android 4.2. I bought this device for this reason alone. Whether or not the LG Optimus is the next lg nexus, is ultimately of little consequence. It will be a stellar smartphone.

Next Nexus may be based on Droid Incredible X

September 25th, 2012

Rumors indicate that the next Google Nexus Flagship phone could be coming from HTC and be based upon the Droid Incredible X series.

GSMArena.com brings us this information and have been known to be correct on industry speculation before.

Speculation:
All information points to a slightly updated Android 4.1.2 (JellyBean) release and a whopping 5″ screen with possible 1080p resolution. We can only assume a quad-core configuration (excluding USA?) with 2Gb RAM? and 32/64 Gb storage? (no microSD support).
