Enhanced sharing with Amplify.com

Amplify.com offers a different content sharing ability than the regular options from the likes of AddThis and ShareThis. With Amplify.com, you are able to ‘Clip’ parts of web pages and share just those parts. Amplify.com also gives you a page of your share clips that you can also share with others and with members of the Amplify.com community.

An Amplify It! button

Add the Amplify It! button to your web site or blog so your visitors can share their favorite parts of your articles or blog posts all around the web. Sharing with Amplify will always include a link back to your post.

With WordPress integration

The Amplify Button Plugin for WordPress lets you add an Amplify button to each of your blog posts so your visitors can share their favorite parts all around the social web. Sharing with Amplify will always include a link back to your post.

Best Android Image Sharing App

September 20th, 2010

Upload and Share Images instantly.

imgur, the very popular image host, allows you to easily upload images to their site and they automatically provide you with a link to your image. This makes sharing your images via email, forum, website, comments and more, very user friendly.

imgur has recently released the ‘imgur API’ (see imgur blog post) which makes using imgur even easier. This API release has resulted in the creation of at least two Android imgur apps from independent developers.

Imgur Uploader

(by Tim Clark)

The imgur uploader Android app simply allows you to upload an image of your choice (from image gallery) directly to imgur and then provides you a link and sharing options after the upload. It doesn’t get any simpler than this. The entire app comes in at 27kb. One of the smallest 4 star Android apps I have seen! More imgur uploader info can be found at github.com

Imgur Android

(Ben Olive)

Imgur Android offers more features than imgur uploader.

Besides simple uploading of images, you can view a list of images you have uploaded so you can easily share them. The app also keeps track of the delete links so you can remove images later.
You can also view statistics about any image on imgur including number of views, size, and date uploaded.

Amplify.com clip, share, blog, tweet and more

July 22nd, 2010

Amplify.com is an awesome way to clip web content and share it to many different places like Twitter, Tumblr, Blogger, Google Buzz, WordPress, Facebook and many more.

Usage is really simple. Either manually create an account with Amplify.com or sign in using Twitter or Facebook and add (drag & drop) a JavaScript based BookMarklet to your Bookmarks toolbar and start clipping and sharing across the Internet.

Widget
If you want to share Amplify content to your blog, but don’t want it in your posts, you can grab an Amplify widget.

This widget is dead simple to setup. Choose a color, choose a size, decide how many Amps to display, ‘Update’ and grab your code. Its that simple.

Badges
If you don’t have use for a widget but would still like to share your Amps with your audience. Consider adding an Amplify.com badge.
