Amplify.com clip, share, blog, tweet and more

July 22nd, 2010

Amplify.com is an awesome way to clip web content and share it to many different places like Twitter, Tumblr, Blogger, Google Buzz, WordPress, Facebook and many more.

Usage is really simple. Either manually create an account with Amplify.com or sign in using Twitter or Facebook and add (drag & drop) a JavaScript based BookMarklet to your Bookmarks toolbar and start clipping and sharing across the Internet.

Widget
If you want to share Amplify content to your blog, but don’t want it in your posts, you can grab an Amplify widget.

This widget is dead simple to setup. Choose a color, choose a size, decide how many Amps to display, ‘Update’ and grab your code. Its that simple.

Badges
If you don’t have use for a widget but would still like to share your Amps with your audience. Consider adding an Amplify.com badge.

TweetUp, in a nutshell, is basically a way for you to pay to be associated with certain keywords on Twitter.

EmbedTweet -automatic Embedded Tweets

May 4th, 2010

EmbedTweet turns any Tweet URL into a working, single Tweet widget.

The EmbedTweet widget features a link to the Twitter user who originated the Tweet, the Twitter time frame of the Tweet, also the service or app that was used to post the Tweet.(i.e. Tweetie, HootSuite etc.) There is also reply and retweet functions built into the widget as well. (very social friendly)

There are two easy ways to implement the EmbedTweet service on your website or blog.

1. Download and install the WordPress plugin for EmbedTweet. (unzip it, upload this folder to your wp-content/plugins folder and activate it in your administration panel.)
-or-
2. Grab this bit of JavaScript and add it to the ‘head’-section of your HTML page:

At this point, any Tweet URL you post to your blog will result in a nice, interactive EmbedTweet widget. There is no need to deal with Twitter’s Half Baked Pie. (Blackbird Pie)

The developer indicates that there will be future innovation with EmbedTweet. I would like to suggest adding a few color options and maybe a sidebar friendly size option as well.

Make sure to check out EmbedTweet!

p.s. EmbedTweet DOES work on Tumblr!
